BBQ Sauce on Baby Back Ribs. Smokey, Savory and Sweet.
Ingredients
Smokey, Savory BBQ Sauce on Baby Back Ribs
BBQ Sauce
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon honey
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 tablespoon fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 3 – 4 cloves squeezed using a garlic press
- 1 – 2 tablespoon dry garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon dry ginger powder
- 2 tablespoons dry mustard
Baby Back Ribs
- 2 – 3 pounds baby back ribs
Preparation
- To make the BBQ sauce mix well, all of the ingredients, in a bowl.
- Place the BBQ sauce in a small skillet on low and cook to a simmer for 20 minutes. Stir often. Set aside.
- Our ribs will be cooked in a slow cooker. Before placing ribs in slow cooker, sprinkle both sides of ribs with salt and pepper, then place them in a slow cooker. Generously baste both sides with the BBQ sauce. Cover the slow cooker, and cook on low for 7 – 8 hours.
- The ribs will start to fall off the bone. Remove ribs from the slow cooker and place them in a baking pan. Once again, generously baste both side with BBQ sauce and cook in broiler on low for 5 minutes on each side. Flip ribs over once. Check the ribs often as you don’t want them to char or burn.
- BBQ sauce can also be served over burgers, pulled pork, pulled turkey, leftover turkey, pork chops and chicken wings.
