Red, White and Breakfast – Oats and Fruit

Healthy Oatmeal and Fruit Breakfast
INGREDIENTS
• 1 cup water
• 1/2 cup quick oats
• 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon powder
• 1 teaspoon flax seed
• 1 teaspoon agave nectar
• 2 – 3 ounces blueberries
• 3 strawberries
• 1 banana
PREPARATION
1. Boil water. As the water is boiling, place the oats into a bowl. Sprinkle cinnamon, flax seeds and agave nectar over the oats.
2. Wash blueberries and strawberries. Cut the strawberries and banana into bite sized slices.
3. Pour the boiled water over the oats and stir thoroughly so that the oats absorb all of the water. Cover with a plate and wait 2 minutes.
4. Cover the cooked oats with blueberries, strawberries and banana.
Serves 1
