One Pot Pasta With Red Sauce

INGREDIENTS
• 1/2 cup olive oil
• 1 onion, peeled and diced
• 3 cloves garlic
• 1 – 16 ounce container of cherry tomatoes
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon black pepper
• 1/2 pound of #8 spaghetti break spaghetti in half
• 1 – 28 ounce can crushed tomatoes
• 2 teaspoon oregano
• 1 1/2 cups water
• 1 cup grated Pecorino Romano Italian cheese
PREPARATION
1. In heated skillet add oil, and heat oil to a light sizzle. Peel and dice onion and garlic, then add to skillet and cook both until lightly browned. Stir often.
2. Cut each cherry tomato in half, then add cherry tomatoes, along with salt, black pepper and crushed tomatoes. Take the #8 spaghetti and break that in half and add them to the skillet. Sprinkle oregano on top.
3. Then add boiled water. Keep at a rolling boil and stir all ingredients. Cover and continue to boil for approximately 15 – 20 minutes. Boil until spaghetti is cooked according to your taste and/or cherry tomatoes have popped and are soft.
4. Transfer to a large serving plate and generously sprinkle with grated Pecorino Romano Italian cheese (or any Italian cheese of your liking). Add the remaining 1 teaspoon of oregano.
