Quick and Easy Seasoned Tomato Sauce

Ingredients

Quick and Easy Seasoned Tomato Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 – 4 cloves fresh garlic, chopped
  • 3 scallions, chopped
  • 2 – eight ounce cans tomato sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons black pepper

Preparation

  1. Heat skillet to medium heat and melt the butter.
  2. Add garlic cloves and scallions, then slightly brown. Stir the garlic and scallions.
  3. Decrease heat to a low setting, then add the tomato sauce and stir.
  4. Season with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper.
  5. Stir the sauce to mix all of the ingredients well. Cook on low heat and simmer for 15 – 20 minutes.
  6. If you want to spice up the sauce a bit more, season with any of these spices. Italian seasoning, oregano, curry, rosemary.
